The ride

From one valley to the other

Between Lake Zell and the head of the Glemm valley lies a mountain ridge — and a ski rental that works the same on both sides. Scroll your way across.

Progress through the valleys: 4 Kapitel

01Zell am See · Schmittenhöhe

Before you set off

Bindings are set, not guessed

Weight, height, age, sole length, skier type — those give us the release value, and without them nobody here touches a binding. It takes two minutes, and it is the reason the ski releases when it should.

To DIN/ISO 11088 · included with every rental

02Above Lake Zell

The day is decided at your feet

The boot first, then the ski

The ski is the difference between a good day and a great one. The boot is the difference between a full day of skiing and a morning cut short. So we measure length, volume and cuff width before we talk about models.

Boot fitting at both locations

03Across the ridge into the Glemm valley

And if something is off

Swap it, adjust it, carry on

Boot pinching, ski too soft, edges gone dull: walk into the nearest shop in your destination and we will change it. For the whole rental period, no argument. A ski day on the wrong equipment is a ski day lost.

Whether you rent in Zell am See or in Hinterglemm — this applies at both locations. Everything else is decided locally.

  • 01

Set to DIN/ISO 11088 from your own data, plus a safety check of the complete setup. No surcharge, with every rental.

  • 02

    Current equipment

  • 03

    Pick up the evening before

Collect your equipment the day before your first day on snow, fitted and adjusted. Your holiday day then starts at the lift instead of in a queue.

  • 04

    Swaps during your rental

If something does not fit, or the ski needs an edge, come by and we will change it. At any shop in your destination, for the whole rental period.

  • 05

    Workshop overnight

Grinding, waxing, base repair, binding service — dropped off without an appointment, ready the next morning. Your own equipment too.

  • 06

    Book online, stay flexible

Booking online secures availability and beats the walk-in day rate; online check-in saves you the queue. Cancellation is free up to 7 days before the rental starts.

Prices, range and opening hours differ by location and are listed on each location website — that is where they are kept current.

Answered briefly

Ski rental — common questions

The questions guests ask us most often before booking — for both destinations.

Where can I rent skis with Reitsamer Alpine?

At two destinations in the Austrian Alps: in Zell am See on the Schmittenhöhe and in Saalbach Hinterglemm inside the Skicircus. Booking runs directly on each location website.

Can I collect the equipment the day before?

Yes. You collect skis, boots and helmet the evening before your first day on snow — fitted, with the bindings already set. The next morning you head straight for the lift.

Is the binding adjustment included in the price?

Yes. With every rental the binding is set to DIN/ISO 11088 from your own data — weight, height, age, sole length and skier type — along with a safety check. Nothing extra is charged for it.

What happens if the equipment does not fit me?

Come into any shop in your destination and we will swap or readjust it. This applies for the whole rental period and costs nothing extra.

Is booking online better than walking in?

Yes, for two reasons: equipment booked online costs less than the walk-in day rate, and availability is guaranteed — which matters in the school holidays. Online check-in also lets you skip the queue.

Can I cancel free of charge?

Up to 7 days before the rental starts, yes — free of charge. After that, cancellation is only possible with the cancellation cover. This applies at every location.

Is there equipment for children?

Yes, both locations carry complete children’s equipment including helmets, and there are family offers. Which ones apply to your destination and dates is shown during the location’s booking process.

Do you service my own skis as well?

Yes. Grinding, waxing, base repair and binding service are available for your own equipment too, whatever the brand. Drop off without an appointment, collect the next morning as a rule.

More mountain, less hassle

More Mountains.More Moments.

More mountain, less hassle. Reitsamer Alpine brings together what stays the same at both locations: equipment that works, advice that is honest, and a process that costs nobody time on the slopes.

Zell am See and Hinterglemm — two places, one standard.

  • Equipment that keeps up

Current skis, snowboards and boots — continuously serviced and matched to ability, terrain and ambition.

  • A fit that holds

Fitting and advice from teams who know the terrain on their own doorstep — not from a catalogue.

  • Short distances

Shops where the ski day begins: close to the lift, close to your accommodation, no detours.

  • No ski day lost

Run by people who are on the mountain themselves. It shapes what we rent out and how we advise.
